Queer Brunch Service

Role: Art direction, designer, taste tester.

Queer Brunch Service is the reply to a pandemic-exhausted chef who was tired of laughable soggy meals delivered in styrofoam containers. They decided that their community deserves better and set out to create a seasonal take and bake service. They hit the scene without an audience, an identity, or a missions but time had passed! They were now vetted, highly recommended, and had found an identity in the seasonality of food. Now, for a branding and packaging to match the hype.

Their logo needed to show off the decadence of eating with the seasons and the coyness inherent to Queerness. With this in mind, I chose a logo that would change with the seasons with a 70’s font vibe that hinted at homemade and effortless old school cool.

And their packaging needed the same vibe: handcrafted, attention to detail, and a celebration of the fresh, seasonal ingredients held within. The Queer Brunch Service hype had to begin with first moment they opened their boxes and to-go bags. As such, I created jar labels, bag seals, and bag designs.
